Joining one of the Club TAP Miles&Go with the option of payment by monthly direct debit is only possible for Clients who, when subscribing to a Club, have an address in Portugal associated to their TAP Miles&Go Cliente Account.
Joining one of the Club TAP Miles&Go plans is a loyalty commitment and assumes acceptance of an initial membership period of 12 (twelve) months. After the initial 12 (twelve) month period, in the event the Client has opted to pay by monthly direct debit, membership of the Club TAP Miles&Go will renew automatically for equal and successive periods of 12 (twelve) months.
The first monthly payment will be taken within 3 (three) working days of joining the Club TAP Miles&Go: that is, the monthly fee will be automatically debited from the Client’s nominated account, at which time the Club TAP Miles&Go will be activated. Should there be insufficient funds in the Client’s account, or if for any reason beyond the control of TAP Air Portugal there is a failure to collect first monthly fee, the Club TAP Miles&Go membership will cease immediately without any prior notification from TAP Air Portugal and the Client will have to re-join. No further attempts to obtain payment will be made following a refusal by the bank.
Once the first monthly fee has been paid, membership of Club TAP Miles&Go will be confirmed and the Client may make use of it.
If the Client has opted for Monthly Direct Debit Payment and the monthly payment is not made, whether because of insufficient funds or due to any failure to collect the monthly fee for reasons beyond the control of TAP Air Portugal, as a consequence of which the Client’s Club TAP Miles&Go membership has been cancelled, the Client may re-join Club TAP Miles&Go, but only by Annual Credit Card Payment. Membership by Monthly Direct Debit Payment will only be available again after the 12 (twelve) month period following the date the Club TAP Miles&Go membership was cancelled.
