    TAP Account Sign Up Terms and Conditions

    These are the TAP Account Sign Up Terms and Conditions, established by Transportes Aéreos Portugueses, S.A. (hereinafter referred to as “TAP Portugal” or “TAP”), for signing up to and using the TAP Account made available to our Clients and Users, via websites, applications and/or other digital channels belonging to TAP Portugal.

    By signing up to the TAP Account you agree and accept these Sign Up Terms and Conditions as well as our Terms, Policies and Conditions of General Use , our Privacy, Security and Personal Data Protection Policy and all the specific terms and conditions applicable to each one of the services or features you subscribe to, in particular the Newsletter Subscription Terms and Conditions and the SMS Notification Subscription Terms and Conditions which, together with these Terms, comprise an integral part of the Terms, Policies and General Conditions of Use. If you do not agree with them please do not subscribe to them or cancel your subscription.

    TAP Portugal is entitled to change, add to, amend or remove any part of these Sign Up Terms and Conditions without prior notice, and any such amendments shall come into force immediately after their publication. The Client and the User shall be fully liable for staying informed and consulting these Sign up Terms and Conditions and the other existing terms, policies and conditions on a regular basis. Your continued use of the TAP Account shall mean that you agree with any changes made to these.

    Any use of the TAP Account or the features and services offered therein which violate these Sign Up Terms and Conditions or the other terms, policies and conditions in force may result in, inter alia, the termination or suspension of your rights to use the account, as well as being barred from accessing the reserved areas. TAP Portugal reserves the right to delete your registration data and your TAP Account.

    TAP Account

    The TAP Account, managed by the TAP Portugal airline, is an online service for TAP Portugal Clients and Users. It consists of the offer of a series of services, features, benefits and promotions to Clients and Users allowing them to access and obtain these in their reserved area in a personalised manner.

    Any changes in terms of the trademarks and brands held by TAP Portugal shall not impact on contracts already entered into with individuals or legal persons.

    Signing Up to the TAP Account is free of charge.

    Signing Up to the TAP Account allows Clients and Users to access a range of functions and relevant information in a simple and personalised manner, by logging in to a reserved area. This area provides an assortment of contents and features that will simplify both access to and interaction with our services, products and the management of your TAP bookings.

After login you will find a vast range of personalised options and offers according to your preferences and which you can easily access online, for example via your mobile device, anywhere and everywhere.

    Manage your Profile

    You can edit your profile data, indicate your preferences, manage which notices you would like to receive by e-mail and/or SMS, manage your bookings and, seeing that our offers will be personalised, this permits faster and more efficient selection and booking.

    Manage Notices

    In this section of your profile page, you can manage which notices you want to receive from TAP Portugal.

    You can subscribe to or cancel, at any time, any of the newsletters you receive by e-mail or the SMS or Push notifications.

    When you sign up to the TAP Account you automatically agree to and accept the Newsletter Subscription Terms and Conditions for which reason we recommend that you read them carefully.

    Manage your Preferences

    In order for TAP Portugal to offer you contents, campaigns or promotions that you will like, you can select your preferred topics in your reserved area, which means that the offers we make to you when browsing our website will be personalised and better tailored to you.

    Manage Bookings

    After logging in to your TAP Account and with your booking code, you can access a summary of all your bookings on your profile page, which can be quickly and easily managed. It is possible to display a general list of all the flights booked online, on your mobile device or through your travel agent; you can add new bookings or bookings made before you signed up to this bookings list. Any bookings added are the sole responsibility of the Client and presume prior consent by the person who made the booking, if this is a third party.

    Changing Bookings

    Has something unforeseen come up? Change of plans? You can now change your booking, if your ticket conditions allow this and, if required, make any payment immediately. This feature is available 24 hours a day at flytap.com in your TAP Account reserved area or using our App on a mobile device.

    Faster and more versatile booking process

    Faster and versatile booking process using data automatically filled in and offering personalised promotions tailored according to your preferences and profile.

    When using the TAP PORTUGAL websites, the user undertakes to use their reserved area strictly for the purposes of making reservations or legitimate purchases, for themselves or for third parties, when authorised or this is permitted by law.

    The use of a credit or debit card implies that the user is its owner and they are sufficiently old enough to lawfully use it. If the user is not the cardholder, the use of the credit or debit card implies the required prior consent of its holder. The holder of the Credit or Debit Card is at all times responsible for effective payment of transactions made using their card.

    The user shall not interfere in any way with the operational or functional service of the reserved area, nor of any other area on the TAP PORTUGAL websites.

    Furthermore, the user undertakes to comply with the terms and conditions and shall be fully liable for all expenses, fees, commissions or other costs that may arise from the use of websites and/or reserved systems or areas and from making purchases.

    Booking additional services

    In addition to your flight, you can book further services associated to your journey at any time, such as a hotel, rent-a-car, travel insurance and others (see). You can also directly add a hotel or a rental vehicle to your booking or take out travel insurance.

    Cancellations, Reimbursements and Invoices.

    Have your travel plans changed? Thanks to the online refund feature, you can cancel your flight up to 24 hours before departure and request the refund of your ticket price.

    This is possible if your ticket allows booking changes with more flexibility and freedom and, if the ticket conditions allow it, you can also apply for a refund.

    Seat selection and reservation

    TAP Portugal allows you to reserve seats before the journey or when you check in. Now you can select your seat beforehand. You can reserve your seat directly when you book your flight, by accessing your TAP Account, or even during your check in online.

    Request Special Meals

    TAP Portugal offers a varied selection of special meals on the flights it operates, catered to passengers who follow a certain diet or according to their preferences.

    Data privacy and protection policy

    Mandatory data that is requested when you subscribe to the TAP Account, as well as further data your provide as a supplement to the mandatory data will always be used by TAP Portugal in conformity with the Data Privacy Law, in order to ensure we continue to improve your experience as a user of our websites and apps and in order to streamline service and product booking procedures. We shall also monitor your visits to our webpages, and your preferences in order to better personalise contents, campaigns or promotions on offer, in line with your preferences. It is our objective to ensure that they are as relevant as possible for our Clients.

    Victoria Programme

    You can also sign up to the Victoria Programme via your TAP Account. In this case, your TAP Account credentials are all you need to access all the features of the Victoria programme.
