Checked baggage - Weight and dimensions

Checked baggage

Travel with everything you need.

The number of checked baggage items you may transport on your TAP flight will depend on the ticket purchased, your destination or your Victoria Status.

If you are traveling as a family, please note that the hold baggage allowance for children (aged from 2 to 11 years) is the same as the allowance for adults. Infants (under the age of 2) have a 10kg baggage allowance, except when traveling tap|discount. You may only carry one piece of hold baggage when traveling tap|discount, which may be one of the following: folding baby buggies, baby chair, or basket. Take care with your baggage

When you check your baggage, a baggage claim ticket is issued that allows the owner of the bag to be identified. For security reasons, luggage is always checked on the same plane the passenger travels on.

  • Make sure your baggage is properly sealed and identified with your name and address;
  • Do not overpack the bag to prevent it from being damaged;
  • Always check the identification information before checking the bag and when you reclaim it;
  • Immediately inform us if your bag is lost or damaged;
  • Do not carry other people's bags with unidentified contents;
  • If you are transporting bottles of wine and/or olive oil, then please make sure they are registered as cargo. Find out all you need to know about Baggage Recommendations here.
