APOIAR
APOIAR - Associação Portuguesa de Apoio a África is a Portuguese NGO (Non-Governmental Organisation) that promotes development projects in the areas of nutrition, health, education and training in Africa. Its mission is to ‘contribute to breaking the cycle of absolute poverty in Africa’.
Founded in March 1995, it supports children, families and communities to break the cycle of poverty, giving them the conditions they need to dream, aspire and achieve. It is also committed to everyone’s unique ability to overcome adversity.
APOIAR has implemented multiple projects in Africa (since 2012 in Mozambique) and has had an impact on more than 200,000 families, 10,000 young people and thousands of children. It also works closely with local partners and is committed to training local teams, with more than 30 Mozambican workers already on its field team.
