Have you ever dreamed of Surfing in Madeira Island? With Aroundfreedom Surf School, you can make that dream come true. The surf spots are carefully chosen according to the wave forecast and each person's skill level. The class starts with a short briefing, warm-up, and practice on the sand. In just two hours, you can catch some waves with your board.

After class, you can recharge and relax in one of the local cafes or restaurants.

Schedules

  • 8 AM - 8 PM

Duration

  • Between 2 and 2 and a half hours: from the moment the surf suit is put on until after the material is washed. 
  • Between 1h and 1h30: water practice, depending on the sea conditions and one's physical condition.

Prices

  • Group lesson (Surf experience, beginner, or advanced level): 50€ per passenger
  • 5 Lessons Pack: 225€ per passenger
  • 10 Lessons Pack: 400€ per passenger
  • Private lesson (individual or for private groups): 100€ per passenger

Available languages

Portuguese, English, French and German (the latter depending on the coach's availability).

Additional info

  • What to take:
    • Swimsuit or bathing shorts, beach towel, hat, sunscreen, flip-flops, water and a snack or light meal
  • Tour organizing partners:
    • 9 AM and 2 PM, which are for information purposes only. Schedules may differ from those shown on the partner's sales platform, as classes are always subject to tides and surf conditions. The correct class time will be informed after booking or after contacting us.
  • Pick-up and Drop-off:
    • Transfers from Funchal, Caniço and Santa Cruz - 10€ per person
    • Meeting point in Funchal, in front of the CR7 Museum
    • Meeting point in Caniço and Santa Cruz, to be informed after booking
    • Other areas - Price on request
