Why do prices vary for the same flights?

Flights prices may differ even if the destination is the same. This is due to several factors, but mainly the time of the year, day of the week and schedule, demand for the destination, time in advance of booking and available fares.

How can I take advantage of the lower fares?

Fares depend on several factors, but to get the best prices you should:

Book in advance to get a lower fare;
Avoid traveling on weekends and days when fares tend to be higher;
Travel outside of peak periods (Carnival, Easter, New Year's Eve, etc);
Consent to receiving TAP marketing emails to stay up to date with news and take advantage of promotions.

How do I know if my fare allows free changes / cancellations?

Check the conditions for changing / canceling your ticket:

On the flights selection page, under “Fare Conditions” of the selected flight;
On the purchase page, under “Fare Conditions” in the “I have read and accept the“ section;
On the booking confirmation page;
In the booking confirmation email;
Through Manage your Booking.

What are fare conditions?

Fare conditions refer to the terms and conditions associated with a specific air ticket fare. They may include benefits or restrictions regarding cancellation and refund rules, booking changes, baggage, miles accumulation, among other things. You should therefore choose the fare that best suits your needs. See the fare conditions here.

What are special fares?

These refer to special prices that are offered under specific conditions or special circumstances. On certain routes, for example, TAP offers special prices for babies (from 0 to 23 months) and for children (from 2 to 11 years). There are also special prices for group trips.

What fees apply to my booking?

In the "Price Breakdown" section, during the booking process, you can check the total amount to be paid, broken down by passenger: fare, taxes and surcharges. By clicking on "Taxes, fees and other charges" you will have access to the fees applicable to your trip - airport taxes, fuel and security surcharge. In certain cases, additional local taxes may be charged at airports or a service fee in some countries. In case of ticket changes, a service fee may be charged for reissuance.

Can I book different classes and fares for each leg of my trip?

Yes. For example, you can travel in Economy class on the outbound leg and in Business Class on the return leg. If you travel in the same class, the fare does not necessarily have to be the same. Before traveling, you should be aware of the fare rules applied to your routes.

What is the Danish Travel Guarantee Fund Fee?

Danish law stipulates that all passengers purchasing an airline ticket in Denmark are given the option of paying the Danish Travel Guarantee Fund Fee. This fee is the responsibility of Rejsegarantifonden (RGF), an entity owned by the Danish government.
